In Sevastopol there are folk combatants. Stopped more than 800 offenses in 2024

In Sevastopol, at a meeting of the city headquarters of the national squads, the results of the work of people’s squads for 2024 were summed up. Their participants are actively facilitated by law enforcement agencies in ensuring public order and security.

Voluntary folk squads on a permanent basis provide assistance to law enforcement agencies in ensuring the protection of public order and security in the city of Sevastopol,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol as the director of the public security department Alexei Krasnokutsky.

In 2024, three folk squads (ROO “Voluntary squad of the city of Sevastopol”, ROO “People’s squad“ Rubezh ”, the national squad“ The Line of the Sevastopol Defense ”) took part in 510 events, including the provision of law and order at mass events and assistance in the search for the missing citizens.

In the course of joint activities with the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol, 878 offenses were stopped, — Notes Alexey Krasnokutsk.

The effectiveness of the work of the national squads is confirmed by the results of activities at 11 strongholds of public security, where, together with the police officers in 2024, 174 offenses were stopped.

Folk combatants are actively interacting with the district police officers: they conduct preventive conversations, help accept citizens’ statements, receive explanations, participate in the courtyard and apartment bypasses, and procedural actions.

Experience shows that residents go with appeals not only to the district police officers, but also to the warriors. Close contact of folk combatants with district police officers allows you to quickly find ways to solve problems— said Alexei Krasnokutsky.

In a voluntary basis, Russian citizens living in the city of Sevastopol who have reached the age of 18 are accepted on a voluntary basis, in their moral and business qualities, physical training and health status, are able to fulfill the tasks of ensuring the safety of citizens.
