In Sevastopol there are two Goslavboards for the study of ticks for dangerous diseases

In Sevastopol, for the convenience of residents, there are two state laboratories that can conduct a quick analysis of ticks for the disease.

If the tick is found, adults Sevastopol and guests of the city can contact the emergency room of the city hospital No. 1 or the admission department of the infectious diseases hospital, with children it is necessary to visit the reception department of the city hospital No. 5.

The specialist will extract an insect and directs to one of the two current laboratories. It is important to deliver the tick safe and preservation, preferably alive, since such material increases the accuracy of analyzes. It is not necessary to bring the tick to the laboratory — this is exclusively done by employees of emergency rooms, where patients seek help.

The study is carried out on four infections: anaplasmosis, borreliosis, erchiliosis and encephalitis. Modern molecular biological diagnostic methods allow you to identify pathogens of infections a short time after passing the material,-says Tatyana Mazalova, head of the clinical and diagnostic laboratory of the infectious diseases hospital.

This service is provided on a paid basis, as it is not included in the list of research on compulsory medical insurance.

Thanks to the order of the city governor in state laboratories, a single cost of service is approved, which is 900 rubles per study, unlike private laboratories, in which the price of this study ranges from 3,000 to 4000 rubles— emphasizes Tatyana Mazalova.

The result of the study will be sent to a medical institution that has prepared a biomaterial for the study, and to the patient’s e -mail.

If necessary, residents and guests of the city can make an appointment with an infectious disease specialist to receive a consultation.

Recall that now in Sevastopol there is a processing of green zones from ticks. Last week, the territory of the Maximova Dacha natural park, a botanical nature monument “Ushakova Balka”, the Uchkuevka Park and Victory Park were cultivated. This week is an acaricidal processing of the spaces of the Gagarinsky district, assigned to the State Budgetary Institution “Parks and Squares”.
