Repair of the historical staircase leading from the square near the temple of Peter and Paul started after the approval of the project at the architectural and artistic council, which strongly recommended that the original historical materials are used to restore. According to experts, old concrete elements were completely dismantled, retained walls were restored, historical granite steps were cleaned and processed. Some of them are already installed on the two upper marches.

The contractor approached responsibly: emergency sections were dismantled, retaining walls are restored, historical materials are used. If they are not enough, we will apply similar granite, which is most consistent with color and texture, as stipulated on the council,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol and. O. The readiness of the stairs is now about 40%. The total amount of work has about 160 linear meters. By the end of July, the first stage will be completed — the repair of the upper part of the stairs, including the first site.

Complex work, cleaning and restoration of historical steps have been completed. We took them to a specialized factory, where we made a grinding and dragging so that it could be re -mounted. All the work is planned to be completed in the fall of 2025.
