In Sevastopol, there was a driver who “accumulated” 20 million in fines. Selling a car won't help here either.
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, traffic police officers identified a car whose driver had a debt of more than 20 million rubles.
During traffic supervision, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of a separate battalion of the traffic police of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Sevastopol stopped a Honda CR-V car driven by a 41-year-old driver. As a result of the inspection, it was established that enforcement proceedings were initiated against the owner of the foreign car for a total amount of about 20 million rubles, including for violations of traffic rules— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
The “natural” response of the offender: “I didn’t know there were fines» The police specified:
All violations of traffic rules of the Russian Federation were detected by means of automatic recording. Copies of the decisions were sent to the violator in the prescribed manner by mail, and were also displayed on official Internet resources.
Preliminary summary of the story: bailiffs arrived at the place of detention and seized the car in order to repay the debt. And that is not all. There will be trials.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol warns drivers that traffic inspectors are working daily to identify malicious defaulters of administrative fines, including for violating traffic rules.
