In Sevastopol, they have begun to restore a retaining wall that collapsed five years ago

At the moment, the underground heating main has been relocated and a temporary overhead heating main has been installed, the construction site has been cleared (soil has been removed and the collapsed reinforced concrete wall has been dismantled), gunite is being applied, and after that, specialists will begin building a new retaining wall made of gabions.— Acting Vice-Governor of Sevastopol Evgeny Gorlov reported on social networks.

In the spring of 2019, the adjacent parking lot of an apartment building on 2-B Pobedy Avenue collapsed into the neighboring yard along with the cars parked on the site. The newly built building was erected on a slope, and an embankment was formed for the parking lot, limited by a retaining wall.

A month later, the city government allocated 1.7 million rubles to carry out design and survey work at the site of the collapse.

At the end of 2023, a contract was signed for the repair of the retaining wall and landscaping of the territory with the Moscow-based United Service Company LLC. The work must be completed by February 5, 2024.
