Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an agreement was signed on the implementation of the investment project “Development of the seaport of Sevastopol, Kamyshova Bay”. The agreement was signed by: Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, head of the Federal Agency of Marine and River transport Andrei Tarasenko, General Director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Rosmorport» Sergey Pylin and general director of Aval LLC Igor Chistyakov.

For a long time, a discussion was discussed how to launch the port’s work. There are sanctions restrictions, control models have changed. Today it was decided to attract partners — the Aval campaign, which is already working on the north side and plan to invest in the port in the reed bay, together with state investments, through the federal agency,, -quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.

According to the governor, this is a long -term project, the implementation of which is designed for at least a few years.

We are enthusiastically looking at this project. The investor plans at the first stage to invest about 2 billion in the full update of the infrastructure, to create sites for modern technological solutions so that Sevastopol again becomes a full -fledged existing port. As soon as sanctions restrictions are lifted, it will work in full force, but now, according to colleagues, there are prospects for already starting work— said Mikhail Razvozhaev.

Andrei Tarasenko focused on the need for further joint work:

In the coming years, we have to work together and prepare such solutions as an increase in the promising export-import and cabinage cargo base, taking into account the needs of Sevastopol, the reconstruction of infrastructure facilities of the seaport, and the attraction of qualified personnel in the field of marine transport. ”

Sergei Pylin emphasized the strategic significance of the project:

Modernization of infrastructure in Kamyshova Bay is an important step towards strengthening the role of the seaport of Sevastopol, the key transit node of the Black Sea region, as well as the development of the logistics potential of the city, increase its investment attractiveness in current difficult conditions.

The agreement was signed with the aim of further development of the logistics potential of Sevastopol and an increase in the volume of sea transport through the reconstruction and modernization of the seaport of Sevastopol, Kamyshova Bay.
