This year, vegetation mowing activities are carried out in the public areas of the city assigned to the Parks and Squares institution, on a total area of 387.8 hectares in the following districts: Leninsky, Gagarinsky (including Kazachya Bay) and Nakhimovsky (including the North Side). Recall that within the framework of the Law of the city of Sevastopol dated December 29, 2016 No. 314-ЗС “On vesting local governments in the city of Sevastopol with separate state powers of the city of Sevastopol”, from April 1, 2021, the intracity municipalities of Balaklavsky, Kachinsky, Andreevsky, Verkhnesadovsky, Orlinovsky, Ternovsky municipal districts and the city of Inkerman are endowed with separate state powers of the city of Sevastopol, including the implementation of measures to create, maintain and care for green spaces.
In some areas, mowing has already been done three times, in some — only once. The work will continue throughout the summer. Mowing is also starting in rural districts. Of course, the result is important, so the control should be general — carried out by the department of municipal services. He added that treatment activities for the American white butterfly are taking place at night and will continue throughout the summer. Last year, equipment was purchased that allows processing tall trees, among other things.
Recall that the work on the maintenance and care of green spaces in the adjacent territories, which are serviced by management companies, is carried out according to approved schedules.
