In Sevastopol, they launched a competition for subsidizing livestock breeders

Subsidies to agricultural enterprises to reimburse part of the costs associated with the increase, acquisition and preservation of the number of agricultural animals are distinguished by the Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Market in 2 main areas: the production of poultry meat for slaughter and preserving the livestock of cattle.

Applications will be accepted from July 28 to August 6, 2025. The final results of the competition and the list of winners will be announced until September 5, 2025.

The state support can be aimed at the purchase of young animals, food, veterinary maintenance, transportation and other expenses necessary for successful livestock.

As part of the current selection for support for farmers, about 420 thousand rubles were allocated. The total funding for these purposes in 2025 exceeded 10.5 million rubles, which indicates systemic support from the government.

In addition, the Department is planned to increase the volume of financing in this area in 2026–2027, which will allow to cover more farms and stimulate the development of domestic livestock in the region.

In 2024, state support measures already had a significant impact on the city agricultural producers. Participants of a similar competition received almost 8 million rubles from the city government, which allowed many farms to modernize production, increase the number and increase productivity.
