In Sevastopol in the Central City Children’s Library named after A.P. Gaidara is given the start of the All -Russian campaign «Give books with love.»
The action has been held in Russia since 2017 at the initiative of the Association of Culture, Arts and Education for the popularization of reading among children and the revival of the tradition of bookbody. Every year, children’s libraries of Sevastopol join the All -Russian campaign “Give Books with Love” with the support of the Department of Culture of the city of Sevastopol.
This year the action is held for the ninth time, it will be held from February 10 to 16. The main idea of the action is to inspire people to give each other good books and remind you that the paper book remains an relevant gift and does not lose its value. This year, part of the books collected will be sent to the libraries of the Melitopol district.
The event was attended by representatives of authorities, educational institutions, culture of the city, public organizations, publishers, and readers of the library. One of the first to participate in the All -Russian campaign “Give Books with Love” was adopted: the Commissioner for the Rights of the Child in Sevastopol Marina Peschanskaya, the head of the Lenin Municipal District Alexei Vereshchak, director of the Sevastopol Children’s Art School Maria Kostyevich, director of the Center for Additional Education “Small Academy of Sciences” Sergey Pasein, Director of the Drama Theater. For example, last year, more than 500 people were presented to children’s libraries of Sevastopol more than 2000 new and colorful books. Books donated to the library will gain grateful readers.
