Today in Sevastopol, two soldiers were seen off on their last journey: machine-gunner scout of the reconnaissance squad of the 126th Separate Guards Coastal Defense Brigade, Cossack of the Sevastopol Plastunskaya Hundred Cossack Farm Cossack Society Roman Gerasimuk and chief ship foreman, paramedic of the sea minesweeper Konstantin Pepelyaev.
Roman Vasilyevich was born in the village of Ladyzhinka, Cherkasy region. Graduated from the Khmelnytsky vocational school. After moving to Sevastopol in the 90s, he began working as a policeman. Roman Vasilyevich could not remain aloof from the events taking place in his homeland, so last spring he signed a contract and volunteered to defend the Donbass. Roman Gerasimuk died while performing the tasks of a special military operation in the Kherson region, near the village of Belogrudny.
Konstantin Vasilyevich Pepelyaev was born in Krasnokamsk, Perm Territory. In 2001 he graduated from a medical school, until 2008 he worked in medical institutions, and in 2009 he entered the military service under a contract. He served in Sevastopol since 2010, was a paramedic on several ships of the Black Sea Fleet. Konstantin Vasilyevich was seconded to a marine corps unit that defended positions in the Zaporozhye region. He was wounded during a special military operation in the Orekhovskoye direction, died from severe wounds in the hospital— Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev spoke about the heroes of Sevastopol.
They were Real Sevastopolians, their names remained forever in the annals of the Hero City.
