In Sevastopol they said goodbye to the guard sergeant. A paratrooper died while repelling an enemy attack

Today in Sevastopol, the hero-paratrooper, guard sergeant Vasily Ketov, was celebrated on his last journey.
Vasily Leonidovich was born and raised in Tashtagol, Kemerovo region. After school, he graduated from a vocational school with a degree in fitter. He served in the airborne forces. He took part in a counter-terrorist operation on the territory of the Chechen Republic and even then showed himself to be a courageous, skillful, and enterprising warrior. After finishing his service, he worked for many years as a paratrooper rescuer in the rescue squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in his homeland, in the Kemerovo region.
He moved to Sevastopol in 2020 and worked as a driver at automobile companies. In September 2022, he was called up for mobilization into the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces. Given his experience in military service and the skills of a paratrooper, he was sent to serve in a special forces unit. He performed all combat missions skillfully, demonstrating the inherent perseverance, courage and military skill inherent in a paratrooper. He passed on his experience to his colleagues. For valor shown in battles, he was awarded the medal «For Courage»said Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
Vasily Ketov died heroically while repelling enemy attacks in the Kherson direction.
