Today in Sevastopol, two more of our soldiers were seen off on their last journey — the commander of the mortar battery of the motorized rifle battalion of the military unit 13140, the guard Major Vyacheslav Pogrebny and junior sergeant Andrey Filippenko.
Vyacheslav Ivanovich Pogrebnoy was born in the city of Kremenchug, Poltava region. In 1993 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Higher Anti-Aircraft Missile Command School with a degree in Command Tactical Air Defense Forces of the Ground Forces. Since 2008, he served on the peninsula in various units. From October 2022 to March 2023, he was the commander of the mortar battery of the 3rd motorized rifle battalion, since March of this year he was the commander of the mortar battery of the motorized rifle battalion 810 of a separate marine brigade of the Black Sea Fleet. Vyacheslav Ivanovich died heroically near Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region.
Andrei Vladimirovich Filippenko was born in Krivoy Rog. Long ago he moved to Sevastopol, where he worked in the security company «First Bastion». Here he raised a family. I could not stand aside and decided to go to serve under a contract in order to participate in a special military operation. Andrei Vladimirovich was wounded in the area of the Vremeevsky ledge, died from his wounds in the hospital— said the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
