In Sevastopol they went on a cleanup day to cleanse the city from the consequences of the storm
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the morning of December 2, Sevastopol residents went out for a citywide cleanup to clean up the area after the recent storm.
Residents of the city approached the governor with the initiative to hold a cleanup day during a live broadcast on Sevastopol television. Mikhail Razvozhaev supported the proposal, and 14 territories were identified for the event: Victory Park, Sevastopol Cadets Square, 60th Anniversary of the USSR Park, park on the territory of the children’s hospital complex, Malakhov Kurgan, Ushakova Balka, 1st Bastion on Makarova Street, square on Sophia Perovskaya street, the beach in Andreevka, the beaches “Nakhimovets” and “Star Coast”, Sapun Mountain, the Stone of Reconciliation and the stele to Russian soldiers.
The governor took part in cleaning the territory of the children’s hospital on General Ostryakov Avenue. The hurricane wind broke many trees and branches here, and the cleanup workers together cleared the park near the medical facility.
Our city workers cleaned up the main consequences of the storm this week. Therefore, courtyard areas and areas that are assigned to social institutions and require attention and cleaning remain for cleaning. For example, the area near the children’s hospital complex — today a large team of colleagues and I came out here to restore order. Today many people came out for cleanup: some cleaned public spaces, others their own plots and yards. Many thanks to everyone who responded — this morning once again showed how Sevastopol residents love their city,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Mikhail Razvozhaev.
In total, several hundred people took part in the cleanup; they cleared 207.5 thousand square meters of territory and collected about 300 cubic meters of garbage.
