The prosecutor’s office of the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol approved the indictment in a criminal case against a resident of the Krasnodar Territory born in 1992. He is charged under Part 2 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud).
According to investigators, in December 2021, a man published an advertisement on the Internet for the sale of medical leeches, to which a resident of Sevastopol responded. In reality, he did not intend to provide the customer with the declared goods, however, being misled by him, the woman transferred 9,000 rubles to him by bank transfer in the fast payment system. In the future, the pseudo-seller did not fulfill his obligations to the victim, did not organize the delivery of leeches to Sevastopol, and disposed of her money at his own discretion— noted in the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Sevastopol.
Police officers located the attacker in the Krasnodar Territory and detained him. The investigation was conducted by the investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol.
The district prosecutor’s office sent the criminal case to the Nakhimovsky District Court of Sevastopol for consideration on the merits.
