In Sevastopol this year, a record number of orphans are provided with apartments
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On December 11, the Governor of the city of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, presented the keys to new apartments to ten more orphans and children left without parental care. According to the head of the city, a total of 89 orphans will become owners of new apartments this year. This number became a record for Sevastopol.
Today we have a joyful event: ten more children received keys to apartments in a new building. Last year, 72 people received their housing, and this was the largest result for our city since 2016. And this year, even despite the difficult economic situation, we were able to provide housing for 89 people. I have already visited the new house, it is cozy and clean. I am happy for all of you — you will be able to celebrate the New Year in your new apartments,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The head of the city instructed the acting Deputy Governor Pavel Ieno to help new residents quickly conclude contracts for the provision of utility services with resource supply companies.
The apartment building at 33-B Laboratory Highway was built by the company “Specialized Developer of the Residential Complex “Novy” (AlfaGroupInvest Group of Companies), and it was put into operation in November. There are children’s and sports grounds near the house.
As part of the implementation of the state program of the city of Sevastopol “Housing”, approved by a decree of the Government of Sevastopol, a state contract was concluded with the developer for the purchase of apartments in a building under construction.
To provide housing for vulnerable segments of the population, the Government of Sevastopol is working in several directions: the acquisition of apartments in buildings under construction, the allocation of housing certificates, the renovation of apartments from the city housing stock, the share participation of the Government of Sevastopol in the construction of apartment buildings and the construction of housing entirely at the expense of the city. An integrated approach made it possible to significantly reduce the queue for apartments in Sevastopol.
