The logistics of the movement of passengers and vehicles during embarkation and disembarkation have been changed, and the work of the cash desks has been organized on the principle of a «single window». Now passengers, having bought a ticket in advance, can use any type of transport — a boat or a ferry. Whereas previously tickets were purchased just before boarding the boat, ticket offices are now further away from the boarding area, which, according to the Department of Transportation, «eliminates the accumulation of passengers on the pier.» Three cash desks work at the same time. Mobile ticket sales terminals have also been installed on the Grafskaya – Severnaya line. The Department of Transport believes that the measures taken will reduce the time of boarding the boat from 10 to 2 minutes , — the SG journalists note.
On Zakharov Square, the area for vehicles waiting for the ferry has been doubled. Check-in and check-out on the ferry is now carried out in two lanes. From the side of Zakharov Square, at the entrance to the ferry, tickets are sold and screened at the same time. There are special markings on the berth, which should help drivers navigate.

After a day of operation of the berths in the new mode, the northerners spoke frankly on social networks what they think about optimization:

2021Where are the boats?
New boats were to be built for Sevastopol by May of the year. But the terms of the state contract were disrupted due to sanctions — foreign suppliers refused to supply equipment to the shipyard.
Since there is no need to wait for new boats yet, the Department of Transport decided to repair the old ones. In October, the boats Molodezhny, Grigory Ovchinnikov, Perseus, Nord, Pluto and the ferry Admiral Lazarev were docked. The work should be completed before the New Year, but for now there is a clear shortage of boats on the routes.
