In Sevastopol, traffic police officers helped a man in need of emergency medical care
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, a traffic police squad consisting of senior police lieutenant Alexander Aksenov and senior police lieutenant Mikhail Vedyakin helped a young man who urgently needed medical care. While on the patrol route, on the Sevastopol-Belbek highway, inspectors drew attention to the car driving ahead. The driver of the car turned on the hazard lights, clearly trying to attract the attention of traffic inspectors.
Police officers immediately stopped to find out what happened. A man ran out of the car and said in an excited voice that his 21-year-old son Alexey was in the car, who had suffered a serious arm injury and needed urgent medical attention. The driver said that the two of them were doing repair work at the dacha and Alexey accidentally injured his hand with a grinder. Realizing that due to the traffic jam that had formed on the road, it would not be possible to quickly deliver his bleeding son to the hospital, he decided to turn to the police for help— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
Immediately assessing the complexity of the situation, the traffic inspectors transferred the guy into a patrol car and, turning on the flashing lights and special signals, drove him in the direction of the nearest hospital. Along the way, employees saw an ambulance crew and decided to hand over the victim to doctors. After making sure that the young man’s life was not in danger, the police returned to their patrol route.
Over the many years of service in the internal affairs bodies, I have seen different situations,” said senior police lieutenant Alexander Aksenov. – It is my duty as a police officer to always come to the aid of those who need it. In this situation, my partner and I understood that any delay could turn into a tragedy, and this could not be allowed.
The next day after the incident, traffic inspectors visited Alexey at a medical facility and inquired about his state of health and well-being. Thanks to timely medical care, he quickly recovered.
When I saw the familiar faces of traffic inspectors in the hospital corridor, I felt joyful and calm in my soul! It was like I met my family. — said Alexey. — The police helped me a lot! Thank you very much to them, I am very grateful.
After the incident, the young man’s family sent a letter of gratitude to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, in which they once again thanked the employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate for the prompt assistance provided.
