CrimeaPRESS reports:
The deputy prosecutor of the city of Sevastopol approved the indictment in a criminal case against two residents of the village of Verkhnesadovoy, aged 39 and 40 years.
They are accused under paragraphs. “g”, “i” part 2 art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder committed by a group of persons for hooligan reasons). According to investigators, in April 2013, in a gun store in the city of Bakhchisarai, the men purchased revolvers designed to fire 4 mm Flaubert cartridges. In the evening they returned to the village. Verkhnesadovoe, drank alcoholic drinks in a local bar and flaunted the presence of weapons. Having left the bar in a state of intoxication, the men met their acquaintance on the street and, for no apparent reason, beat him up and then shot him twice in the temple. After this, the attackers left the victim on a concrete parapet near the road, and they returned to the bar, where they continued to drink alcohol. The man died from bullet wounds in a city hospital,” reported the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
In 2013, law enforcement authorities regarded the man’s death as suicide.
However, subsequently, with constant supervisory support from the prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol, the investigative committee bodies and operational divisions of the internal affairs bodies carried out a large volume of operational search activities, investigative and procedural actions, which refuted the previously made conclusions. Forensic medical, forensic psychiatric, ballistic, linguistic examinations, and psychophysiological research using a polygraph were carried out. As a result of this work, evidence was collected that made it possible to expose the attackers of committing murder. The accused were taken into custody.
The city prosecutor’s office sent the criminal case with an approved indictment to the Sevastopol City Court.
