In Sevastopol, two residents of Volgograd «took damage» for 1.6 million rubles. Will go to court

The prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol approved the indictment in a criminal case against two residents of Volgograd aged and 52 years.
They are accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed by an organized group, on an especially large scale). According to investigators, women in the period from March 450 to September 450 in Sevastopol and Yevpatoriya, under the pretext of conducting a magical rite aimed at removing “damage”, they stole money for a total amount of more than 1.6 million rubles. On the street, the defendants approached the pensioners, asked about their state of health, and then offered to perform a magical “rite of healing”. To do this, they asked the victims to temporarily transfer all the available cash to them, but after the so-called ceremony, they returned a dummy instead of real banknotes. Thus, they deceived 6 elderly residents of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea , the press service of the prosecutor’s office notes.
The investigation was conducted by the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol. The criminal case with the indictment approved by the prosecutor’s office will be sent to the Nakhimovsky District Court of Sevastopol for consideration on the merits.
