In Sevastopol, typhoid markers will be used at polling stations.
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the presidential elections in Russia, voters with visual disabilities will be able to vote using a type marker. This is a special device that will inform you about candidates in voice mode. This will be the first time such technology will be used in the region.
The sound with the information will be pre-recorded on special tags (tip tags) located opposite the last name of each candidate. The ballot will be placed in a special stencil, and as soon as the voter touches the marker with the marker, voice reproduction of the information will begin through the marker’s speaker.
This is a domestic development, tried and tested, and the more of these there are, the more people with vision problems will be able to exercise their right to vote— notes the chairman of the Sevastopol City Election Commission Nina Faustova.
10 polling stations in Sevastopol will be equipped with type markers and stencils:
- Polling station No. 2 (Novikov St., 4)
- Polling station No. 18 (Inkerman, Shubikov St., 8)
