At the operational meeting, the issue of using pyrotechnic products on New Year’s holidays was discussed. The Governor emphasized that the Operational Headquarters on the average level of response was held last week. All necessary security measures will be maximally strengthened during the New Year holidays.
As for pyrotechnic products, there is currently no legal possibility to ban the sale, and nevertheless, the time is now: everywhere, and especially at individual objects, security will be strengthened, so it is strongly not recommended to use pyrotechnic products on New Year’s holidays, or do it at sites that are far from the central part of the city and objects of special attention. Do not spoil your holiday, you can find yourself in a not very pleasant situation on New Year’s Eve. We cannot ban it completely, but we recommend not to abuse it , — Mikhail Razvozhaev is quoted by the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.
Also, the Government of Sevastopol recalls the rules for the use of pyrotechnic products:
- It is prohibited to use pyrotechnic products on the roofs of houses, in any premises, on balconies, other protruding parts of buildings, in reserves, sanctuaries, national parks, on the territory of especially valuable objects of cultural heritage, near historical and cultural monuments, during events with a mass stay of people, in cemeteries, in stadiums, on stage, sports grounds and other sports structures, on the territories of explosive and fire hazardous facilities, in the right-of-way of railways, oil pipelines, gas pipelines and high-voltage power lines, under weather conditions that do not allow ensuring safety when using them, to persons who have not overcome the age limit established by the manufacturer of the pyrotechnic product.
- It is recommended to purchase only certified pyrotechnic e products in specialized stores, do not carry pyrotechnic products in pockets and without packaging, do not disassemble pyrotechnic products. After lighting the firecracker, quickly move away from it by 5-6 m, there should be no fire hazardous objects within a radius of 50 m, spectators should be at a distance of -20 m on the windward side.
- Forbidden when starting pyrotechnic smoking products, firing from rocket launchers near parked cars, using products flying upwards near residential buildings and other buildings, approaching a faulty pyrotechnic product earlier than after two minutes, throwing pyrotechnic products into the fire.
