In Simferopol, a local resident was convicted for beating up a cafe visitor

In Simferopol, the Kiev District Court issued a verdict in a criminal case against a previously convicted local resident. He was found guilty under paragraph «z» of Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm dangerous to human life), Part 2 of Article 314.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (repeated failure by a person subject to administrative supervision to comply with administrative restrictions).
It was established that the offender had previously been convicted, including for a serious crime against property, and was placed under administrative supervision, despite this, he did not fulfill the relevant duties and restrictions. In particular, he was not at home at night, but was in places where alcoholic beverages were sold, for which he was repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility. In December 2023, in the evening, while on the premises of a cafe, during a conflict with one of the visitors, he beat the latter— the supervisory authority reported.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the perpetrator to 4 years of imprisonment to be served in a strict regime penal colony.
