In the attendant part of the police department No. 1 “Zheleznodorozhny” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Simferopol received a statement by the general director of one of the company engaged in wholesale sale of vegetables and fruits. The man told the police that he bought potatoes in Vladivostok in the amount of more than 3 million rubles and for its transportation to Crimea hired an individual entrepreneur specializing in cargo transportation from the Rostov region.
As expected, the valuable cargo was delivered to Simferopol, but while the customer was determined with the unloading place of 50 tons of potatoes, the carriers were asked to wait. After a short time, the applicant returned to the parking lot of two trucks, but he did not find them there. Drivers stopped in touch. During the operational-search measures, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Simferopol together with colleagues from the police department No. 1 Zheleznodorozhny established and detained the suspects. They turned out to be the Rostovites — the father and son, who explained that during the waiting period they decided to leave for Rostov with someone else’s cargo, where in the future to be criminally realized for less money. The proceeds in the amount of 800 thousand rubles were spent on their own needs,-the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Crimea said.
The investigator of the police department No. 1 «Zheleznodorozhny» of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Simferopol opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code. One of the defendants in the case was chosen by a preventive measure in the form of detention, the other is a ban on certain actions.
