CrimeaPRESS reports:
Criminal investigation officers of the police department No. 2 «Kiev» of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol detained a young man suspected of stealing goods from the warehouse of one of the pick-up points of a popular marketplace.
Some time ago, a 22-year-old Crimean resident, working as a manager at a pick-up point in the city of Simferopol, picked up goods that customers had rejected and sent empty packages back to the warehouse. In this “simple way,” the young man stole seven mobile phones, two gold rings, a gaming monitor, a backlit mirror, a teddy bear, and cosmetics, thereby causing damage to the company in the amount of more than 124 thousand rubles. A confession was received from a former employee of the pick-up point. The young man handed over the stolen property to a pawnshop and spent the proceeds on his own needs, — reported the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.
The investigator of the police department No. 2 «Kievskiy» initiated criminal cases on the grounds of crimes provided for in Part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft). The detainee was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave.
