Since August 13, 2025 on route No. 4 “Naples Scythian — ul. Marshal Zhukov (upper plateau) ”began test operation of the KAMAZ-6282 electric bus with the on-board number 2511. This was announced by the head of the Department of Transport and Communications of the Administration Georgy Sukhatsky.
The pilot project is designed for two weeks and is aimed at evaluating the operation of electric vehicles in the conditions of the city cycle of Simferopol.
The State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymtrolleibus» is testing to determine the technical and economic indicators of the electric bus. The main task is to assess the advisability of the further acquisition and introduction of such transport on city routes,-quoted the press service of the administration of Simferopol George Sukhaatsky.
Technical characteristics of the electric bus:
— passenger capacity: up to 70 people (including sitting and standing places).
— Store: up to 240 km on one charge.
— Energy consumption: for two flights with a total length of 56 km (28 km × 2), 20 % of the battery charge was used up.
The electric bus is equipped with modern systems that provide passenger comfort:
-climate-control;
-USB ports for charging devices;
— video surveillance system;
— Silent move and smooth movement.
The test period will last until the end of August 2025. According to its results, a decision will be made on the further use of electric buses in public transport in Simferopol. In the case of positive results, the introduction of such machines will reduce the environmental load and improve the quality of transport services in the region.
