Today in Simferopol, a mural was opened in honor of Sergeant Valery Chernyakov, who died while performing combat missions in the zone of a special military operation. By decree of the President, Valery Chernyakov was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage for selflessness, courage and bravery.

The soldiers who are now in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces are participating in a special operation — real heroes. Our duty is to preserve the memory of the people who gave their lives to achieve the goals of the NMD, for the security of our country, our peninsula. The memory of their heroism will live forever— said the head of the administration of Simferopol Mikhail Afanasiev.
