In Simferopol, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations extinguished a “fire” in a hypermarket
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In order to improve professional skills and prompt response to emergency incidents, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations conduct training and fire-tactical exercises at facilities with large numbers of people. The next training session for employees of the Simferopol Fire and Rescue Garrison and the Specialized Squad took place at the trading facility.
According to the legend of the exercise, at the beginning of the working day a fire broke out in a hypermarket on Heroev Stalingrad Street, 8. The fire occurred on the first floor. The reason is careless handling of fire. The flames spread rapidly. Heavy smoke and high temperature in the room created a threat to people’s lives and health. After the fire alarm went off, the facility administration immediately began evacuating visitors, while simultaneously reporting the fire by calling 112.
The area of the training fire at the time the first fire crews arrived exceeded 100 square meters. Simultaneously with the fire extinguishing, the GDZS units carried out reconnaissance. Suspected victims were found on the ground floor. Gas and smoke protection workers escorted them safely out of the building and handed them over to emergency personnel.
Thanks to the prompt actions of all training participants, all goals and objectives were successfully achieved. Additionally, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations checked the operation of the fire alarm, warning systems, and the condition of water sources— said the emergency department.
In total, 10 units of equipment and 60 personnel were involved in eliminating the mock fire from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
