In Simferopol, four men are accused of kidnapping a minor and extorting money
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The prosecutor’s office of the Zheleznodorozhny district of the city of Simferopol approved an indictment in a criminal case against four residents of another region. According to investigators, in February of this year the accused, while in a state of drug intoxication, saw a 17-year-old boy and, mistaking him for a person involved in the sale of narcotic drugs, demanded that the drugs be handed over to them.
The minor refused, so the men forced him into a car, where they struck him numerous times in the head and body and, demanding that he hand over drugs to them, continued to threaten him with a flare gun.
Realizing that the victim was unable to fulfill their demands, the men demanded that the young man give them 50 thousand rubles, promising to release him after that. The young man called his older brother and asked him to transfer the required amount to the accused.
Heading to the place designated for the transfer of funds, one of the attackers, realizing that the victim’s will to resist was suppressed, took the watch off his hand and left it with him. While waiting for the minor’s brother, the accused were detained by internal affairs officers— reported the Crimean prosecutor’s office.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of the city of Simferopol for consideration on the merits.
