Employees of the drug control department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Simferopol, as a result of operational search activities, detained a previously convicted 34-year-old local resident who intended to distribute narcotic drugs through hiding places.
The police established that the suspect had been purchasing drugs through an Internet site for personal use for some time, then decided to earn extra money. The attacker organized several hiding places near the house, in each of which he placed a package with a powdery substance of about 0.5 grams. After which he took photographs of the caches reflecting the coordinates of their location and sent them to the “employer”. At the place of residence of the detainee, police officers discovered and seized 58 packages with an unknown substance; police found another 18 packages in hiding places organized by the suspect. The expert identified the powdery substance with a total weight of 17.78 grams as the narcotic drug methadone (phenadone, dolophine)— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
The investigator of OP No. 1 “Zheleznodorozhny” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30 — part 4 tbsp. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs on a large scale). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of ten to twenty years. The court chose a preventive measure for the man in the form of detention.
Currently, other persons involved in criminal activities are being identified.
