In Simferopol, state traffic inspectors punished a violating driver who almost knocked down a pedestrian
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Again, social media videos helped.
Not for the first time a video of the moment of traffic violations, published in social networks (sent to the traffic police) helps inspectors to hold violators accountable. This time in Simferopol, the driver «distinguished himself» who almost knocked down a girl at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.
The recording shows how one of the cars stopped in the second row to let a pedestrian through, and the driver, following in the first row, did not give way to a person who had already begun to move across the roadway. The girl was able to dodge the car coming at her.
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Simferopol established the identity of the driver who grossly violated the rules of the road, and detained him. A 56-year-old resident of the Krasnogvardeisky district was driving a Kia Spectra car. An administrative protocol was drawn up against him under Art. 12.18 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Failure to provide an advantage in traffic to pedestrians or other road users). The violator was fined 1500 rubles— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
