In Simferopol, the All -Russian Promotion of Memory Blachering Bread was held
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the Day of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade, an all-Russian memorial event “Blockade Bread” took place at the intersection of Pushkin and Gorky streets.
As part of the action, volunteers distributed 125 grams of bread to passersby — the daily norm that Leningraders received on the most difficult days. The action is intended to remind of one of the most heroic and tragic pages of the Great Patriotic War, of the courage and resilience of the residents of Leningrad, who survived the unprecedented blockade of the city of a million by enemy invaders, as well as to preserve the memory of generations and pride for the courage of the civilian population of besieged Leningrad. In order for the participants of the action to see with their own eyes the daily bread ration, volunteers prepared pieces of bread “125 grams of life” that fit in the palm of their hand. Participants of the action received a symbolic piece of bread and a leaflet describing its composition, — noted in the press service of the Simferopol administration.
