In Simferopol, the police detained a suspect in the destruction of other people’s property. Earlier, the city police department received a message at night that two foreign cars caught fire in the parking lot for vehicles near the intersection of Kuibyshev and Kichkemetskaya streets. An investigative team immediately went to the scene of the incident, which established that arson was the cause of the fire.
As a result of operational-search activities, the police quickly identified and detained the suspect in the commission of an unlawful act. It turned out to be a 38-year-old local resident previously convicted of theft, who was taken to the police department, where he confessed.
The detainee explained that last year he agreed with the owner of both affected cars to repair his apartment, and in return he had to fix his car. The man fulfilled his obligations, but the owner of the cars did not repair his transport. On the basis of personal hostility and resentment, the attacker at night doused gasoline on foreign cars of a citizen and set them on fire, as a result of which they burned down— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
The investigator of the territorial division of the police initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. «Avenger» was detained and placed in a temporary detention center. Details — HERE.
