This year, under the regional project “Formation of a comfortable urban environment”, work is underway to improve the public area of the Central Park of Culture and Recreation, the Catherine Garden in Simferopol.
More than 109 million rubles have been allocated for the improvement of the Catherine Garden and adjacent areas, one of the most picturesque and lively corners of the Crimean capital. Currently, repair work is in full swing: the contractor has already completed work on laying tile paving on an area of about 5,000 square meters, repaired all pedestrian stairs, and landscaped park paths. Work is underway to install a new rotunda, which will consist of eight columns 3.3 meters high with a dome diameter of 4.8 meters, and the final stage of repairs to the areas near the Simferopol cinema— they note in Main Directorate for the Implementation of National Projects (regional project office).
They are replacing new tile covering and utility networks, installing small architectural forms, and carrying out pond lining and landscaping work. The park will also have surveillance cameras.
The park is also completing the renovation of the stands of the sports ground of the playing field. In addition, workers have already cleared the pond of silt deposits and algae, and are repairing the benches and the bridge. The nearby Savopulo fountain, the only one of the nine ancient fountains of the city that has survived to this day, will also soon welcome guests — a new rotunda will be located directly above it. The current readiness of the facility is about 50%. Public spaces of a new format help not only to decorate cities, but also to form a new cultural and social standard of living for local residents, opening up new economic opportunities.
