In Simferopol, work began on clearing the channel of the Salgir river from garbage and silt deposits, said the head of the city administration Mikhail Afanasyev. According to him, at the moment, work is on the site from Potemkinskaya Street to Gagarin Street.
One unit of equipment is currently working, after completing the preparatory work, 10 units of equipment will be involved,-wrote Afanasyev in his Telegram channel.
As the mayor noted, silt and concomitant garbage are taken to a landfill of solid utilities (MSW) in the village of Turgenevo, Belogorsky district.
The contracting organization must complete the work in three months. In the future, experts will begin clearing the channel in the area of Rakquetnaya Street.
