In order to prevent road accidents in the area of intersections, as well as reduce the severity of their consequences, from February 6 to 9, the State Traffic Inspectorate is holding a preventive event “Crossroads” in Simferopol.
As part of the operation, traffic inspectors will carry out targeted preventive raids in the area of intersections where violations of the Traffic Rules entail negative consequences for road users.
During the event, road patrol inspectors will pay special attention to such violations as: driving through a prohibitory traffic light signal or a prohibitory gesture of a traffic controller, failure to comply with traffic regulations to stop in front of the stop line indicated by road signs or markings of the roadway, when the traffic light is prohibiting, entering the intersection in the event of a traffic jam and creating an obstacle to the movement of vehicles in the transverse direction, as well as failure to comply with the traffic rules requirement to give way to a vehicle enjoying the right of way through the intersection— reported the traffic police.
