In Simferopol, they are engaged in signs in foreign languages

In the Crimean capital, on an ongoing basis, work is carried out to streamline the placement of signs of an informational and advertising nature. This was announced by the head of the department of outdoor advertising and information of the administration of Simferopol Alim Dzhalilov.
The priority task is to monitor the placement of external information structures, facade signs, as well as advertising structures on the facades of buildings, the content of which uses the words and symbols of the Latin alphabet (foreign words), including Russian words and letters made in the transliteration of the Latin alphabet, with the aim of replacing them into Russian and the alphabet.
As part of the monitoring, more than 585 objects with signs containing information in foreign languages were examined. The analysis showed that 275 objects are registered with a trademark, 114 designs are valid permits for installation. 196 structures are installed and operated illegally. Currently, the city administration prescribes instructions on dismantling the designs that are not compliance with the norms. Work in this direction will continue, -quotes the press service of the administration of Simferopol Alim Dzhalilov.
This initiative is aimed at maintaining the purity of the Russian language and its protection against borrowing.
