Fedorchak was born in the Crimea, graduated from the Faculty of Journalism, after which he worked in the Crimean information agency, and then on the Crimea-24 channel. Since 2022 he was a correspondent of the Zvezda television channel, later — Izvestia in the zone of a special operation, where he covered events on the front line.
He was a very pure, kind, sincere and decent person. A man who loved his profession very much is a man who never discouraged, never sad and infected absolutely everyone. Today someone said: Sasha arrived at the Crimea shopping center, and unfortunately arrived for the last time. And he will have the last editorial task: get to the best world— said at the ceremony the general director of the Crimea television and radio company, the chairman of the Crimean branch of the Union of Journalists of Russia Vadim the First.
More than a hundred people came to say goodbye to Fedorchak, including his friends, colleagues from federal and regional publications, and representatives of the authorities. Flowers were laid by the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov and the chairman of the State Council of the region Vladimir Konstantinov. The condolences and words of support to the family of the correspondent were conveyed by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov.
On Monday, the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik reported that six people were killed as a result of the artillery of the Kremensky municipal district from the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces, among them Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak, the operator and driver of the star Andrei Panov and Alexander Sirkeli. The correspondent of Star Nikita Goldin was also seriously wounded. The Armed Forces attacked the crew machine with Himars missiles.
