Director of the Simferopol municipal budgetary institution «City» Anton Gumen spoke about preparedness for the winter period. According to him, utility workers completed preparations for maintaining the road network in winter back in October. All the necessary specialized equipment has been re-equipped and brought into working condition, and a sufficient quantity of reagent has been purchased.
To work in conditions of snowfall and ice, 14 units of municipal road vehicles will be used. This is the equipment that clears the roadway and sprinkles it with reagent. In addition, utility services have auxiliary equipment at their disposal that is used in anti-icing measures. These are tractors that are equipped with brushes of various types and are used to clear the pedestrian area.noted Anton Gumen.
According to him, the installation of reagent boxes will be completed within this week. They will be loaded with anti-icing material so that cleaners can quickly access it and treat sidewalks and public transport stops.
