In Simferopol, the prosecutor’s office of the Kievsky district sent a criminal case against a 27-year-old local resident to court. He is accused of violating the rules of the road by a person driving a car, negligently resulting in the death of a person, committed by a person in a state of intoxication.
According to investigators, on April 20 of this year, at night in the village of Kamenka, a local resident, driving a BMW X5 car while intoxicated, drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a Ford-Focus car, the driver of which as a result of an accident was fatally injuredthe prosecutor’s office said.
The case was referred to the court for consideration on the merits. The defendant faces a sentence of imprisonment for up to 7 years.
