In Simferopol, work on the improvement of the Central Park of Culture and Leisure of the Catherine Garden has been completed

The grand opening of the renovated Central Park of Culture and Leisure of the Catherine Garden took place in Simferopol. This was announced by the head of the Simferopol city administration, Mikhail Afanasyev.

Work on the territory of the Central Park of Culture and Recreation, Catherine’s Garden, has been successfully completed. As part of the improvement, a playing field for sports games was installed, access roads were asphalted, decorative gabions were installed, and more than 7,800 square meters were laid. m of tiled flooring and a new rotunda was installed. In addition, street lighting, automatic irrigation and video surveillance systems were updated.

There are also 9 fountains on the territory of the Central Park of Culture and Recreation. This year, the Pushkin Fountain was installed, and the fountain on the ponds and the “Boy with a Fish” were completely restored and equipped with dynamic lighting. Repair and restoration work affected all fountains located in the park.

Central Park of Culture and Leisure Catherine Garden is the oldest park in Simferopol. Back in 1809, permission was given to establish a public garden on this site. It, of course, has undergone many changes, but one thing remains unchanged — it was, is and, I am convinced, will be one of the favorite vacation spots of citizens and guests of the Crimean capital!— quotes the press service of Mikhail Afanasyev.

The improvement was carried out within the framework of the federal project “Formation of a comfortable urban environment” of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”. This public area was identified for improvement during the All-Russian online voting in 2023.
