In Simferopol you can see ancient jugs and kumgans from the Sudak fortress

The Simferopol Art Museum has opened an exhibition “Alone with Nature”, which presents paintings and graphics by artists of the 20th century and archaeological antiquities found on the territory of the Sudak fortress.
According to the press service of the art museum, at the exhibition from the funds of the Sudak Fortress museum-reserve you can see paintings by artists Lev Bruni, Yakov Basov, Evgeny Pavlov, Viktor Shevchenko, Pyotr Starikov, Alexey Isaev and other authors.
Sudak has always attracted attention with the picturesqueness of its valley, the grandeur of the mountains and the uniqueness of the landscape. Throughout the 20th century, many famous artists came to Sudak for plein air paintings. Clearly expressed moods on artistic canvases convey an atmosphere of relaxation and tranquility— said the museum.
A number of paintings are complemented by antique and medieval jugs and kumgans of the Crimean, Byzantine, Mediterranean, Constantinople, Trebizond, Golden Horde and Turkish production, discovered by archaeological expeditions on the territory of the Sudak fortress from the middle of the last century to the present.
The exhibition will be open until January 31, 2024. As clarified Tourist portal of Crimea, the exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday. Tuesday – from 11:30 to 20:00, entry until 19:30. From Wednesday to Sunday — from 9:00 to 17:30, entrance until 17:00. A visit to the exhibition is included in the price of admission to the main museum building. Ticket price: adult – 250 rubles, reduced price – 150 rubles. Payment can be made online at website museum. You can visit the exhibition using the Pushkin Card program.
