In Sudak, a local resident will stand trial for attempting to bribe law enforcement officers. He is charged under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 3 art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted bribery to an official for committing obviously illegal actions).
According to investigators, the man was driving his vehicle while intoxicated at the end of December last year. Moving along one of the city streets, he was stopped by traffic police officers of the Russian State Traffic Safety Inspectorate in the city of Sudak. Not wanting to be brought to administrative responsibility for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, the man tried to transfer money in the amount of 10.8 thousand rubles to the traffic police inspector for not bringing him to administrative responsibility. From illegal remuneration traffic police officer,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Sudak City Court for consideration on the merits. The range of punishments for a negligent pedestrian is wide: from a large fine to 2 years in prison.
