The first interactive excursion “Lighting the Stars in Chersonesus”, dedicated to the history of the bright Christian holiday of Christmas, took place on the territory of the State Museum-Reserve “Tavrichesky Chersonese”. It is organized by the museum-reserve together with the “My History” foundation.
About 30 students of class 2A of Bilingual Gymnasium No. 2 made a trip on Christmas Day. The Snow Maiden greeted the little guests. With her help, the children walked through the ancient city, performing various tasks. Participants in the interactive excursion got acquainted with a map of the starry sky, solved a crossword puzzle, and learned how Christmas is celebrated in different countries. Under the crackling of the festive “fireplace” in our warm and cozy tent, the guys watched a Christmas video about the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem and learned about the history of the bright Christian holiday, sang carols, and then made a Christmas tree toy with their own hands — a bell! — noted in the press service of the museum-reserve.
At the end of the tour, Santa Claus appeared. Festive illumination was lit in the tent, and to the song “A Christmas Tree was Born in the Forest,” the children and Grandfather danced around the tree in a festive round dance, played comic games of catching up, and at the end of the event, each of our little guests made a wish.
This was our first time on this excursion. We really liked it, it was very interesting! The children especially enjoyed the cheerful and fiery dances around the Christmas tree with Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, as well as the master class. Thank you very much!
