In the Bakhchisarai region, a negligent driver was punished for trying to give a bribe to a traffic police officer
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the Bakhchisarai region, the prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 45-year-old resident of the region. He was found guilty under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 3 art. 291.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted petty bribery).
The court found that in July 2024, the accused, driving a Volkswagen, drove into the lane intended for oncoming traffic and was stopped by traffic police officers. Wanting to avoid being brought to administrative liability under Part 4 of Art. 12.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (entering a lane intended for oncoming traffic), the man tried to transfer money in the amount of 5 thousand rubles to a traffic police official. The police officer refused illegal remuneration— reported the prosecutor’s office.
The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the culprit to a fine of 100 thousand rubles. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
