In the Bakhchisaray district — the All-Russian festival of rock climbing «Rocks of Crimea-2023». When?

The third annual All-Russian festival of rock climbing «Rocks of Crimea-2023» will welcome guests from all over the country from June 10 to 14 in Bashtanovka, Bakhchisaray district.

Both sports fans and professional athletes will gather in the picturesque surroundings of Kachi-Kalyon. Russian Climbing Federation.

Over the past two years, the tracks in the Bakhchisarai region have already won the hearts of many climbers — from Kaliningrad to the Far East, from Murmansk and Yamal to local Crimean climbers. And even more they have to fall in love with the participants of the festival this summer.

«Rocks of Crimea» aimed at popularization of rock climbing. The main goal of the third festival is to provide all Crimeans and guests of the peninsula with the opportunity to touch rock climbing. They will be able to try their hand at the rocks or the climbing wall under the guidance of instructors. Festival participants will be able to plunge into the atmosphere of a sport that was born on domestic rocks three quarters of a century ago and became Olympic.

Over the past year, since the last festival, there have been even more runs — now there are 250 of them! Here you will find suitable routes for any level of training.

The festival program included the second discipline — bouldering. These are low tracks up to 5 meters, which climb without a rope. As insurance, special mats under the rocks are used — crashpads. For lovers of the «difficulty» discipline, new sectors and already familiar tracks from previous years are available.

On June 10, the celebration of the 76th birthday of Russian rock climbing will take place at the festival glade. The youngest climbers are again waiting for the Crimean Gecko competition, and those who are ready to conquer the slopes of the most difficult category will receive prizes.
