In the Belogorsk region of Crimea, a criminal case against a 41-year-old local resident has been brought to court. He is charged under paragraphs. “a”, “d”, “e” part 2 art. 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (torture), Art. 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (improper performance of duties in raising children, associated with cruel treatment of them).
According to investigators, the man, being the father of two young children, in October 2023 regularly beat them, humiliated them and expressed insults, thereby causing physical and mental suffering,” the Crimean prosecutor’s office briefly reported.
During the pre-trial investigation, the accused was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention. With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Belogorsky District Court for consideration on the merits. A domestic tyrant faces serious punishment, including imprisonment for a term of 3 to 7 years.
