In the Black Sea region, the culprit of an accident in which a child was injured was punished

In the Chernomorsky district, the court found a local 63-year-old resident guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car, resulting in negligence in causing serious harm to human health). At the beginning of October last year, the convict was driving a Dodge car along one of the streets in the village of Chernomorskoye. While leaving a secondary road, the man did not give way and collided with a moped moving along the main road, the passenger of which was a boy born in 2013. As a result of a traffic accident, the driver and minor passenger of the moped suffered serious harm to their health.,” the prosecutor’s office recalled the circumstances of the accident.

The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 1 year of restriction of freedom. In favor of the victims, the court recovered 700 thousand rubles as compensation for moral damage. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
