In the Black Sea there is a ban on fishing of aquatic biological resources

The ban comes into force on November 1 and will be in force until February 28, 2024 in order to preserve and increase the population of aquatic biological resources in the Black Sea.
In order to preserve and increase the population of aquatic biological resources in the Black Sea, in accordance with paragraph 52 of the Fishery Rules for the Azov-Black Sea fishery basin, approved by Order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation dated January 9, 2020 No. 1 “On approval of fishing rules for the Azov-Black Sea Black Sea Fishery Basin» (hereinafter — Fishery Rules) from November 1, 2023 to February 28, 2024, the extraction (catch) of all aquatic biological resources in the waters of the Yalta cargo port of the city of Yalta at a distance from the shore of less than 100 meters is prohibited, in the waters of the Yalta passenger port and along the entire central embankment. Lenin of the city of Yalta to the mouth of the Vodopadnaya River at a distance from the shore of less than 100 meters, in the waters of the port of Artek at a distance of less than 100 meters from the shore, — noted in the press service of the Yalta administration.
At the same time, according to paragraph 51 of the Fishery Rules: in front of river mouths at a distance of less than 500 meters on both sides of the mouth, areas prohibited for the extraction (catch) of aquatic biological resources during recreational fishing are established.
