A criminal case has been initiated.

On behalf of the head of the Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Vladimir Terentyev, the transfer of materials about the accident in the Bakhchisaray district from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia was initiated in order to initiate a criminal case and conduct a full and comprehensive investigation into the circumstances. It has been established that today on the highway «Beregovoe — Bakhchisaray», near the village of Kochergino, a woman driving a KIA drove into the oncoming lane, where a collision with a Dacia Logan MCV occurred. As a result of a traffic accident, the driver of the KIA, the man who was driving the Dacia and two female passengers died. Four underage passengers from the Dacia were taken to the Republican Children’s Hospital with various injuries, where one of them died.— reported in the Sledkom.

In connection with the increased public outcry, Vladimir Terentyev instructed the head of the investigative department for the Bakhchisaray district, Alexander Mastyaev, to initiate a criminal case under Part 5 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. (violation by a person driving a car of the rules of the road, negligently resulting in the death of two or more persons).

The establishment of all the circumstances of the incident is under the personal control of the head of the Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
