In the city of Saki, criminal investigation officers caught red-handed a suspect in the sale of drugs. A 27-year-old local resident was hiding drugs in hiding places on one of the streets of the city.
In the presence of attesting witnesses, the detectives seized two rolls of foil paper from the hiding places indicated by the suspects. Inside the packages were polymer bags with a white powdery substance, 2.6 grams each. As the previously convicted person explained, this substance is mephedrone, which he received via the Internet for laying in caches and subsequent sale.— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
An examination was carried out, which confirmed that the confiscated drug is a synthetic drug. According to part 3 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illegal sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances”), a criminal case has been initiated, an investigation is underway. The young man was detained under Art. 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation on suspicion of committing a crime. The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to 15 years.
